Phu Quoc Main Road North - South Project

This route is planned for connecting Northern and Southern Phu Quoc island. It support to Phu Quoc for development and also for security and defense.

The total length of 24.5km route was divided into two sections:

- Section Duong Dong - Suoi Cai length of 12.4km with the roadbed width of 26m and road surface of 15m;  

- Section Suoi Cai - Bai Thom length of 12km with the roadbed width of 16.6m and road surface of 7.5 m. On this section, there are 5 new reinforced concrete bridges.

Total investment value in the project was 905 billion VND, including construction costs 647 billion VND, the cost of compensation and land clearance 68 billion VND, remaining was demining costs, premium reserves and other expenses. Construction investment capital from government bonds,  implementation period (plan): 2009 - 2010.

 Ngu Thuong Co,Ltd undertaken 5 bridges  in section Suoi Cai - Bai Thom. The work starts from early 2010. Due to the objective conditions the project is expected to be completed on late 2011.
