Perhaps all the design hiccups have stayed with the previous unsuccessful plans, so the construction work has hardly encountered any significant obstacles. Right from the very first work, such as pile drilling also progressed well due to the use of suitable equipment brought from Germany, up to the slide formwork to be the main bridge manufactured in Vietnam also worked very well.

Active in construction

A spirit of work is rare in other projects of workers, mostly Westerners, in the later stages of the project. In fact, from the beginning, a number of well-known domestic companies were nominated or “won” as subcontractors for main contractors from Australia. More and later, only one successful company remained at the My Thuan bridge project with a leader who was exposed to the sun and wind on the construction site. The workforce of other companies was gradually replaced by a form of "direct labor" provided by another subcontractor working under the direct command of the main contractor engineer. Since then, many farmers and craftsmen have become construction workers with all kinds of skills.

Close monitoring

Not a single item had to be reworked. This is the result of close linkage between Consultant - Supervisor, Main Contractor and Sub Contractor. This association was not born from the meeting table, but only the general image was that the Consultant quietly going back and forth while the work was being carried out, the main contractor engineer was confused with the work. The subcontractor's employees are working hard.

Full finance

Putting aside political losses, My Thuan bridge does not face financial obstacles. The ground was cleared 50 years ago. The interest of the local authorities on the banks of the Tien River is also a factor contributing to the success of the My Thuan Bridge project, which later brings benefits to the two sides of the bridge.
