Summary of Project information:
Project: Samsung CE Complex Ho Chi Minh City
General Contractor: Samsung Engineering VietNam Co., Ltd
Ngu Thuong's category: Reinforced concrete construction (phase 2)
Time: July 13, 2015 - January 30, 2016
Location: Lot I-11, Street D2, Tang Nhon Phu B Ward, District 9, Ho Chi Minh City
This new Samsung project has a total investment of up to 1.4 billion USD, built on an area of 70 hectares.
This is where facilities for research, development and production of high-tech household electronic products such as 3D smart TVs, air conditioners, refrigerators, and high-tech washing machines under the Samsung brand are located, mainly Smart TV lines. When this factory complex comes into operation, it will not only serve the needs of domestic users, but the products produced here will be aimed at exporting to foreign markets.
The consumer electronics complex in Ho Chi Minh City high-tech park is Samsung's third key project in Vietnam after Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen. The project is expected to contribute to boosting the export turnover of high-tech products in the city, while improving the level of technicians and high-tech research and development human resources in the city in the near future..
In this project, Ngu Thuong is in charge of Reinforced Concrete Construction Phase 2 at the Refrigerator Factory Area with a contract value of more than 127.8 billion VND. This is a large-scale investment project that requires extremely fast progress. Sometimes the construction volume is up to 500 blocks of concrete and 70 tons of steel a day. Ngu Thuong's workers have to work continuously in shifts to ensure the project's progress.
It is expected that this complex will come into operation from the second quarter of 2016.
